FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

For general carpentry and handyman services, we charge a a base rate of $150 for each project, then $65 for the remainder of the project.

  • What makes your quoting process different from other home service companies?

On projects we work a bit different. Instead of just providing a quote, we provide a detailed materials list and quote (so you know exactly what we are using for your project), A proposal detailing exactly what we will be doing for you, our insurance information, how much we are charging for labor, and finally a written 5 year guarantee on our work. We allow clients to purchase materials directly, and expect no payment until we arrive on-site and start work.

We are more than happy to provide a quote for your whole project, and as always all consultations are free.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I first like to meet with the customer so they can "walk me through the project", I can then make recommendations, and accurately price out the job. I like to make sure that the customer is comfortable with me, and is fully aware of the process going forward. What they can expect to happen, when, and most importantly how much it will cost.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always get multiple quotes. A high quote doesn't always mean a quality job, just as the lowest quote doesn't always mean you get the best deal. Always compare quotes apples to apples.

Does the provided quotes detail what the contractor plans to do? What they plan to use in your project? Who obtains permits? Who orders materials? When payments are expected?
